THE ITALIAN EVENING is a cinematic restaurant story told through food, light and atmosphere. Built around the feeling of an intimate Italian dinner, the film captures the evening through small visual moments — the arrival, the table, the food, the textures and the mood — rather than presenting the menu as a conventional food showcase. The result is a warm, character-led visual piece designed for social media and brand storytelling.

Concept
An Italian evening told through food, light and atmosphere.
Brand objective
Create a cinematic restaurant visual that communicates the feeling of dining at RA-FT, while presenting the food naturally within the experience rather than as a traditional menu advertisement.
Creative direction
Warm restaurant lighting, intimate close-ups and handheld movement were used to create the feeling of being present at the table. Food textures, interior details and small human moments were layered together to build an atmospheric Italian dining story.
Client challenge
The challenge was to create a strong restaurant story within the existing dining environment while working with available space, ambient lighting and a limited selection of featured dishes.
My role & key decisions
Creative Direction · Videography · Food Photography · Lighting · Editing · Colour Treatment I developed the visual direction, selected the food and environmental details to feature, captured both motion and still imagery, and shaped the final edit around atmosphere rather than a conventional menu sequence.
Distribution & verified results
Published as social media content for RA-FT Café. The project was also developed into a portfolio case study demonstrating cinematic F&B storytelling and restaurant photography.
